Project completed in September 2021
In mid-August of 2021, a past client referral connected me with Joanne Shum, a healthcare management consultant who needed a website built. She has worked alongside BC's hospitals and medical centers and has implemented strategies and solutions to help Vancouver handle the COVID-19 pandemic. Now she wants to showcase her work to the world through a brand-new portfolio style website.
Joanne already had a determined a style that she wanted but needed someone to help layout and develop her website, and I was happy to help. To kick things off, I created some wireframes that allowed her to visualize how the content would be organized. She wanted to be able to edit her site down the road, so she decided to use Wix as the foundation of her website. While I often hesitate to use Wix, I find with a little planning you can create websites that are both functional and aesthetic, and it also allows for easy edits for those new to web design.
All-in-all, I'm really happy with how this site turned out, and the fact that it's helping Joanne continue her fight against COVID-19 is just a cherry on top!
